Fingerprint scanner stopped working - then an RMA - now old one working - question....
A week or so ago I took my Nexus 6P out of a bookbag, and zero response from the fingerprint scanner. Tried factory reset, cleaning the sensor on the back. It simply did not register with the vibration when trying to set up a profile.
I contacted Google and received a refurbished one.
Sure enough, the day I receive the refurbished one, the old one started working FINE again. (Note it had been working fine since I purchased it in January.)
So now, I'm not sure what to do.. should I keep the refurbished one or my old one? On the old one I also noticed small crack in the upper left in the black part. I mentioned it to the google rep, when I called about how to return the refurbished one sent, and he said that won't matter if you sent it back (I didn't want to seem like a jerk and send back a phone with a crack in it.)
I'm leaning towards maybe keeping the refurbished one since it probably has a newer battery. Thoughts?
