Marshmallow is now on 13.3% of active Android devices

The latest Android version distribution numbers are now available from Google, revealing a small bump for Marshmallow — though Lollipop and KitKat still make up the bulk of active installations. Specifically, Google calculates that 13.3% of active Android devices were running Marshmallow during a 7-day period ending on July 11. That's a small push up from 10.1% from the month before.

Android 5.x Lollipop, meanwhile, has shot up slightly from 35% the month before to 35.1% this month. Android 4.4 KitKat fell from 31.6% a month ago to 30.1% in July. Jelly Bean came in at 17.8%, falling again from 18.9% in June. Finally, Ice Cream Sandwich ticked down slightly from 1.9% to 1.7%, while Gingerbread moved from 2% to 1.9%. Froyo is still stubbornly hanging on by a thread with a 0.1% share.
