would the pixel c suit my needs? how reliable is it?

i currently owned an ipad air 2 as my main portable device for entertainment and for some minor work. however the ipad 2 is not possible to be my main device due to the lack of a file explorer system for the device. also i cant transfer files from usb to the ipad. for excel and documents work, i also find it much easier with a mouse like device.

so im looking at purchasing a pixel c to be my main device and replace my old laptop. my main use is if i buy it is for

- emails reading and composing. sometimes long emails
- editing spreadsheets and documents. not much though. the bluetooth mouse will help i think
- streaming youtube videos and music by spotify
- watching videos with vlc
-listening to hi res music (flac)
- light gaming
- used for emulation for older consoles possible? snes playstation or even ps2 games can be played on the pixel c?
- trasnferring file with usb to my employees laptop
- browsing the web
- reading ebooks and manga
- tinkering around with apps...

so will the pixel c works for my needs? since most of the stuff i do will require internet or wifi...im very worried about the wifi connection issue. i will be heading to australia to purchase and bring it back to indonesia. so its not easy to just return the product. how reliable will the product be and how much issue it have at the moment..

im so tempted because i really loved the looks and form factor of the pixel c. its so gorgeous and perfect sized. im willing to take the risk..but how much risk is there? im really concerned with the wifi problem though. is ot that bad as some claim?
