Google maps without connection

Google maps without connection won't function on my new Google Pixel C with android 7.1.1. I correctly downloaded the maps of my area and give a destination but it stays where I am and don't move.
Strangely, on my Sony phone Z3+ with android 6, it works perfectly without connection.
Can someone help ? Thank You.
