Google Play Services fried my Nexus 5X

I wanted to see if anyone else is having problems with the latest Google Play Services update dated November 30, 2017. I realize that my 5X has been going strong for over 2 years (got it just after release day). That was until last week when Google Play Services updated. Since then my 5X battery has died in less that 8 hours when it hadn't been dying even after 12 hours. Now it is stuck in a bootloop that I can only imagine was caused by this rogue GPS update. I don't expect to be able to revive my 5X. This is basically a eulogy to the best phone that I ever had. Thanks for reading.
