Nexus 5X fingerprint stopped working after cleaning it up

I got my Nexus 5x from my cousin. Everything worked fine but once my Nexus was getting yellow so I cleaned it up with some toothpaste worked fine earlier, but now it stopped working. First it said hardware not available when I tried to open it with my fingerprint. Then I went to add a fingerprint it said something like enrollment I don't remember. Then the settings got completely vanished tried many things like clearing the cache from recovery mode everything. Still no luck. I even factory reset it now I'm getting the option in settings suggestion not in security and location. Well, I tried to add a fingerprint from suggestion option but it's not sensing my fingerprint. Nothing happens. Please help me find this.
