Video player with Zoom and Pan

Mooncatt kindly suggested to use MX player. This is a good player but very slow to launch and zooms to 300%.

I found another player called Android Video Player (Xplayer). It zooms to 800% but I cannot work out how to pan. I contacted the developer to ask how to pan but had no reply. Not a good sign.
Could someone please let me know how to pan on this app if at all possible?
