My Return to Android

So far my "Android devices" amounted to an old Nexus 7 running 5.1.1 with a processor so slow its basically only good for basic games and some web surfing. That changed when I found we had some leeway on what our system was buying for us to use at work. Most people went for the iPad air 2, nice piece, but I have and iPad and one of the programs we use doesn't play well with Apple. I'm still several months out on a new phone and on the fence as to whether to stay with iPhone or jump the fence. So I decided to familiarize myself a bit with Android and requested a Pixel C instead. And I got it Friday.

Fired it up and went ahead and downloaded Nougat. I was a bit nervous in the meeting where we got our devices with all those iPad boxes sitting around and a lot of "I've never heard of that" regarding my box. But I have been immensely satisfied with it since I started working with it this weekend. Its lightning quick, runs all my work stuff plus all my personal stuff. I have a week or so before my keyboard arrives :( and I want a protector for the sweet slab of black glass.

Nougat has been seamless. Coming over from iOS, I can't find a single issue with it. I continue to love Google's unbloated version of Android. Can't wait to see how it runs when the keyboard arrives! I'm very much anticipating the new Pixel XL phone and please please Verizon carry it in the store!!!!!:-$ Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to getting to know this tablet and see what all it can do.

PS. It was funny to see a bunch of people sporting Samsung phones receiving iPads.
